I led the content design and creation of Informatica’s Salesforce Trailhead Training Roadmap, a company-wide onboarding initiative that guided over 5,000 employees through Salesforce acquisition training. Partnering with senior leadership, I built a clear, scalable learning hub that unified all Trailhead modules, curated learning paths, and FAQs into one intuitive experience.

Overview

I led the content design and roadmap creation for Informatica’s Salesforce Trailhead Training Initiative, developed to support Informatica’s company-wide transition during its merger with Salesforce. Partnering with multiple VPs, including the VP of Product Development and the Senior Director of Documentation, I designed a clear, scalable onboarding experience for over 5,000 employees. The roadmap centralized all Salesforce Trailhead modules, curated learning paths (“Trailmixes”), and FAQs into a single, user-friendly hub that guided teams through the acquisition training process with structured clarity and brand-aligned storytelling.

The Problem

During Informatica’s Salesforce acquisition transition, employees across the Products organization faced confusion navigating multiple Trailhead courses and identifying which ones were required for their specific roles.

Key challenges included:

  • Disorganized access to Trailhead modules and trails, scattered across multiple links and systems

  • Unclear learning progression from beginner to advanced tracks

  • No single roadmap to guide employees by role or department

  • Inconsistent communication between departments on how Trailhead aligned with acquisition goals

This lack of centralized direction made it difficult for employees to meet training requirements efficiently and align with Salesforce’s platform and culture.

The Solution

I created the Salesforce Trailhead Training Roadmap, a visually structured and content-driven guide designed to streamline the employee learning experience.

The roadmap included:

  • Curated Trailmixes grouped by function (e.g., UX, Developer, Program Management, Security, Content Operations) with clear descriptions, goals, and skill outcomes.

  • Consistent, user-centered copy emphasizing clarity, tone, and learning intent for each course.

  • A role-based navigation structure allowing employees to quickly identify which paths applied to their teams.

  • FAQ and contact sections written in conversational, self-service language to reduce repetitive inquiries and support self-guided learning.

  • Collaboration with design and documentation leadership to ensure brand cohesion, readability, and accessibility across all modules and visuals.

The result was a single, cohesive roadmap, presented on Confluence and shared across the Products organization, serving as the authoritative guide for Salesforce onboarding and certification.

The Outcome

The Salesforce Trailhead Training Roadmap became the central resource for Informatica’s company-wide Salesforce enablement effort, supporting over 5,000 employees across multiple departments.

Key results included:

  • A unified and accessible training experience across all product, engineering, and documentation teams.

  • Significant reduction in confusion and redundant support requests during the acquisition transition.

  • Increased visibility and participation in Trailhead learning paths, helping teams quickly align with Salesforce tools, culture, and product frameworks.

  • Positive leadership recognition for providing a scalable, employee-friendly resource that simplified cross-organizational change management.
